Transparency

I understand the need for local government to listen to the public. As a member of the Albany School Board, I argued for ending the Covid-related ban on in-person testimony at Board meetings. As uncomfortable as it may be, citizens need to be able to speak before their representatives. Better policy is the result of having every voice heard.
