Conservative Activist Drops Big Money Into Ward 1 Race

Conservative political action group Albany First is spending big money on Albany City Council candidate Trevor Lee.
Albany First PAC is run by conservative political strategist Reagan Knopp. He is the son of Republican state Sen. Tim Knopp (blocked from running for reelection because of participating in a Republican walkout last year) and formerly worked as a political affairs specialist for Oregon Right for Life, an anti-abortion political action committee.
One of the top contributor's of the PAC's funds is Linn County Commissioner Roger Nyquist.
